Auto Remarketing reports that SHiFT®, the Vehicle Retirement Initiative dedicated to sustainable end-of-life vehicle recycling, has appointed former Amazon executive Chapin Griffith as its first Director of Vehicle Retirement Services. Griffith brings extensive experience in fleet remarketing and lifecycle management, having led Amazon’s nationwide vehicle retirement operations — a $100 million business that retired more than 20,000 vehicles annually. In his new role, Griffith will collaborate with recyclers, fleet owners, and insurers to streamline the vehicle retirement process and advance SHiFT®’s mission to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and promote environmentally responsible automotive recycling worldwide.
